We are looking for a bright, well-organised individual with good communication and influencing skills to provide the managing partners of April Strategy with executive assistant and operational support.
This role also offers a unique opportunity to get involved in supporting internal and client projects on a progression pathway towards a consultant role.
Key responsibilities:
Executive and operational support
Diary management for three managing partners, involving client relationship management
Planning and organising in-person meetings and events for the team and broader ecosystem
Helping to coordinate the April Forum, a bi-annual ‘round table’ event for senior business leaders
Supporting the consultants with logistics and operational admin
Coordinating team hardware (phones, laptops etc) plus software access and licences
Supporting cross-firm collaboration and act as a liaison
Human Resources
Working with the senior consultant to identify internal resource needs
Organising interviews and case studies
Managing new employee/consultant onboarding/offboarding and maintaining the HR system
Project support
Involvement in internal projects, such as new business research, identification of any new systems to support internal efficiency
Involvement in client projects, including research and analysis, project management, logistics and admin support, liaison with client to organise meetings/events
Additional special projects, based on your interests and experience
The role is remote but will require some travel to London and occasional national travel. Travel expenses will be reimbursed. You will report to Kinvara Rogers, Senior Consultant at April Strategy.
Experience and skills
Required:
Bright, with strong problem solving and emotional intelligence
Very well-organised, with an ability to plan ahead, be proactive and multi-task
Ability to roll up your sleeves and get things done efficiently, with an attention to detail
Strong appetite to learn and develop
Confident using a range of software including Microsoft Office suite, including Teams, and able to learn new applications easily
Desirable:
Three years’ experience working in a commercial organisation
An understanding of day-to-day HR, finance and operational processes
This role would suit someone who has great people skills, is efficient, thinks proactively and is eager to learn.
Salary: £35-40k
