About us

April Strategy are leading-edge practitioners in strategy, proposition development, organisation design and change management. Our unique combination of deep expertise and client collaboration has been proven to accelerate and deliver benefits for organisations across the world.

The impact we make is as much down to how we work as what we do. We work with clients as trusted advisers, helping to shape, fuel and facilitate transformation and bridge the gap between strategy and execution, growing in-house capability as we go. We build momentum for delivery from the outset, engaging people at scale in co-developing the why, what, how and what now of change.

About you

You will be exceptional, with a rare blend of high rational and emotional intelligence. University-educated with an excellent academic record, you will already have demonstrated your ability to make an outstanding contribution to (and possibly lead) successful teams.

Your enquiring mind, creative problem-solving and positive disposition will have an energising impact on those around you. You are able to communicate complex ideas in simple terms, both verbally, visually and in writing. Although you are an overachiever you won't be arrogant. You will take interest in and appreciate the value of different diverse perspectives and always take a self-motivated, conscientious approach to strive to learn and do your best work to benefit others.

Ultimately, you will want to make a positive impact on the world and understand the ideas alone are not enough; what matters is what happens.

About us working together

You will become part of the April Strategy team, working directly on client engagements for leading organisations around the world across a wide range of sectors. Working in April teams of two to four, always including a Partner, and always in collaboration with the client team, you will work on the design, co-development and delivery of new strategies, propositions, operating models and client capabilities to accelerate value delivery.

You will draw on, and over time contribute to, our evolving playbooks, which capture our know-how from over 100 years of expertise in the field. The work will take you to different parts of the world, but you'll never be stuck in an outpost; as a team we will work together in a mix of our clients’ and our own physical and virtual spaces.

If you are as good as we think you are, you will progress in the firm on your journey to Partner and perhaps one day you will be running the firm and writing this job advert.

To apply, send a CV to and brief e-mail explaining why you would like to work with us.

Operations Manager

Apply by 20 December 2023

About us

April Strategy is a boutique management consulting firm specialising in sharpening strategy, proposition development, accelerating change and improving client capability. We operate globally, with a growing operation in the Middle East to complement our UK and European work. What sets us apart is our hands-on, collaborative way of working with one another and with clients.

We have doubled in size over the past three years and want to do this again over the next three. As we grow, we are professionalising our operations and require a disciplined approach to managing growth and change.

About you

You will be an experienced and ambitious operations management professional, ready to implement our three-year plan. You will draw on your experience, project management skills and digital awareness to establish a range of efficient business services support functions.

You stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, and enjoy incorporating them into operational and commercial strategies. Although commercially-focused and outcome-driven, you will be flexible and self-aware, appreciating the client and consultant relationships essential to the successful running of the company.

Ultimately, you will be ambitious for growth – for the firm and for yourself.

About us working together

Accountable for the delivery of the three-year plan, you will work with and report to one of the Managing Partners. Managing the essential operational and commercial processes of the firm, you will find the best solutions for performance reporting, key client account management, recruitment and development, commercial and accounting, contractual processing, business development pipeline management, IT and facilities. You will help manage budgets and resources, ensuring business continuity by developing and implementing contingency plans.

As you will be working closely our Partners and Consultants, you will attend team and Advisory Board meetings to provide connectivity, oversight, guidance and suggestions for improvement. We would expect the firm and the role to develop over 12-18 months, with scope to move to Operations Director.

To apply, send a CV to and brief e-mail explaining why you would like to work with us.
