Taha Ahmed
Manager
Strategic Advisor, Transformation Leader and Change Agent
A trusted advisor and industry leader within large, complex organisations, Taha has a proven track record of designing and developing strategies at all levels from enterprise to business and operational strategies, including execution through incubation and targeted or full scale implementation at a global, regional and local level.
Taha joins April in January 2026, bringing extensive experience in both practice, having worked as a Management Consultant with EY and PwC, as well as industry where he has been able to drive meaningful change in leadership roles across the automotive and adjacent sectors with both VWG and JLR. He has a comprehensive understanding of the theory and practical application of strategy end to end, combined with a human-centric approach with clients and leadership teams, ensuring co-development and deployment is tailored, targeted and future fit.
Having successfully secured a scholarship to study economics at the University of Birmingham, Taha started his professional career with EY as a Corporate Tax Advisor, where he managed a portfolio of multi-national clients, advising on business and international tax queries and policy. He then joined PwC's future leaders consulting programme where he quickly progressed to Manager and was able to build his technical competence, specialising in large scale transformation programme design through to delivery, as well as turnaround strategies for smaller PE owned clients, working across Industrial products and services, retail and consumer, and other public and private sector clients.
Taha pivoted into automotive, landing a senior role with VWG UK to lead the strategy and major projects function for the SEAT & CUPRA division, including oversight of the CUPRA brand launch, as well as the retail transformation for both brand and group, along with other major projects and initiatives. Most recently, Taha was responsible for leading global strategy development at JLR, working on all aspects of enterprise strategy, as well as major, Board-sponsored regional and growth strategy projects. He has also worked closely with the C Suite in developing and refining the strategic narrative for key corporate governance forums, both internal and external.
Taha is an empathetic leader who actively mentored others during his industry roles, both formally and informally, and is also deeply passionate about mental health, having been an accredited Mental Health First Aider for the last five years.
He loves complexity and the messy, unstructured, creative thinking that comes with solving problems together with others to drive sustainable growth or competitive advantage for his clients and those he works with.
Outside of work, Taha's passion is disaster and humanitarian aid relief, having successfully completed accredited courses in disaster management and response with Serve On and Humanity First International as a trained first responder. He also regularly volunteers and runs a food bank with his local charity and was recognised by the High Sheriff of Warwickshire in 2025, receiving an award for services to the local community supporting the youth and those in need.
