That’s why April Strategy has further sharpened its focus on the ‘HOW’ of implementation, alongside the ‘WHY’ and ‘WHAT’ of strategy.
April was founded in 2004 to create customer and business value by shaping strategy and bridging gaps in execution.
Co-founder Tim Westall said: “Today’s pace of change means it is more important than ever to work closely with clients on strategy and implementation at the same time. Increasingly, people choose April because they want to collaborate with trusted advisors to co-architect strategy and co-orchestrate change acceleration.”
April Strategy is now focussing on agile business strategy and accelerating value delivery, and the team has built a bank of client resources to ensure long-lasting impact.
Partner John Vincent said: “Over the last few months, we’ve distilled our 20+ years of experience into a series of comprehensive playbooks to help clients accelerate and deliver benefits faster, drawing on the best of agile, design thinking and lean methodologies. We’ve tested and refined this approach with our clients who are already seeing fantastic results.”
Long-standing associate Andy Poulter is joining April as Partner. Andy has spent the last 20 years planning and delivering complex transformational change for global clients in the hospitality, retail, automotive, cruise and utility sectors.
Andy said: “One of the things I love about the April model is the collaborative approach they have with their clients. They’re in it for the long term - to help clients build the capabilities in their own organisation and bring benefits forward. The playbooks we’ve built have become a great asset, and I’m really excited about helping more clients move quickly from strategic intent to P&L impact.”
Tim said: “We’ve worked with Andy for many years, and he will really strengthen our transformation and change management capabilities. We’re already seeing the benefits with our clients as ambitious strategies follow more quickly through to impact and sustainable value delivery.”
Different parts of April have evolved into new entities to enable partners and teams to focus on their own areas of interest and passion, and to better serve clients.

April Partners BV is a new business that will be based in the Netherlands (in part to address Brexit complexities).
